Last reviewed October 2026. Third-party features and prices change, so check each vendor’s site before you buy.

BoxBrownie is the best-known virtual staging service in real estate. Its editors stage rooms by hand from a furniture library in nine styles, for $24 a photo with no subscription, and return them in under 48 hours. It also does item removal, day to dusk, floor plans, renders and listing copywriting, and has a public API.

CasaVivid does the staging and the photo fixes by AI, in under 30 seconds a photo, so you can see the result and change it straight away.

When BoxBrownie is the better choice

If you want a person to handle an unusual request, such as matching a reference photo or a tricky commercial space, and you can wait two days, BoxBrownie’s editors and its unlimited changes are a safe choice. Floor plans, renders and listing copy from the same vendor, and a public API, are things CasaVivid doesn’t offer.

When CasaVivid is the better choice

If you want to see the staged room now and try another style if it isn’t right, CasaVivid returns each photo in under 30 seconds. Staging a whole vacant listing costs far less than at $24 a photo, the same furniture carries across every angle of a room, and the clutter, sky, lawn and privacy fixes are in the same project.

Where CasaVivid fits

CasaVivid is a web app for agents, brokers and property managers. Use photos you shot yourself on a phone or camera, or the edited photos your photographer delivered. Stage empty rooms, remove what shouldn’t be in the shot, fix the sky and the lawn, blur private details, and share the finished set, all in one project and in under 30 seconds a photo.

It is new and in open beta, free to use while the beta lasts. There are no human editors and no public API yet.
