Photo Edit is where you improve a single photo. Open it by selecting a photo on the Photos tab and clicking Photo Edit in the bottom bar, or by hovering a photo and clicking its Photo Edit button.
Two tabs
- AI Edit (opens first): Auto Enhance, object removal, and AI edits such as sky replacement, lawn repair and removing people or signs. Usually 30–60 seconds.
- Manual: sliders, crop, perspective, privacy blur, pins and lot lines. Usually 5–15 seconds. See Manual adjustments.
A dot on a tab means you have changes there that you haven't applied yet.
Versions
Every time you apply an edit, CasaVivid saves a new version. Nothing is overwritten.
- The strip under the photo shows Original first, then each version from oldest to newest. Hover a thumbnail to see when it was made.
- Click a thumbnail to view that version. Your next edit is applied to the version you're viewing, so you can build edits up step by step, or go back and branch from an earlier one.
- The badge on the photo tells you what it is: Original, AI edit, Enhanced, Staged, HDR or Upscaled.
Switching versions discards Manual changes you haven't applied yet.
Compare with the original
- On the Manual tab, press and hold Hold to compare to see the original while you adjust.
- For AI results, click Original in the version strip, then click back to your version.
- Click the photo to open it full size.
Delete a version
There's no undo button for applied edits. Instead, delete the version you don't want:
- Select the version in the strip.
- Click the trash (Delete) button above the photo and confirm.
The editor moves back to the previous version. Deleting can't be undone.
Quick buttons above the photo
Use Photo Edit, Virtual Staging and Upscale to move the current version to another tool, and Download to save it.
One edit at a time
While an edit runs, the Apply buttons are disabled. When it's done, the new version opens automatically.
