Privacy blur

MLS rules and seller privacy often mean hiding licence plates, family photos, mail or documents. CasaVivid can do this automatically or by hand.

Automatic blur when merging HDR

When you merge brackets, two options are on by default:

• Blur license plates: on exteriors where a car is found, the plates are found and blurred.
• Blur personal photos: on interiors where framed photos are found, photos of people are blurred. Art and landscapes stay sharp.

Automatic blur on a single photo

1. Open the photo in Photo Edit and go to the Manual tab.
2. Under Privacy, turn on Blur license plates or Blur personal photos. Each one only appears when CasaVivid has found plates or framed photos in that photo.
3. Click Apply adjustments.

Blur brush (any photo)

For anything else, such as a name on a mailbox, documents or a house number, paint the blur yourself.

1. In Photo Edit, open the Manual tab.
2. Under Privacy, click Paint next to Blur brush.
3. Choose a Brush size: S, M or L.
4. Paint over the area. The blur shows as you paint.
5. Use Undo to remove the last stroke, or Clear to start over.
6. Click Done, then Apply adjustments.

The blurred photo is saved as a new version, and the original stays in the version strip.
