Some files failed
When files fail, the upload bar shows how many, for example "3 files didn't upload", with the reason for each.
- Click Retry failed to try them again. This fixes most network problems.
- Click Dismiss to clear the message.
Files that are the wrong type, too large, or in an unsupported RAW mode can't be retried. Fix the file first.
Common reasons
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| file is empty (0 bytes) | The file is stored only in iCloud, Google Drive or OneDrive. Download it to your computer first, then upload it. |
| file type not allowed | Convert it to JPG, PNG or HEIC, or use a supported RAW type. See Supported files and cameras. |
| file exceeds … bytes | The file is over 100 MB. Export a smaller JPEG. |
| Maximum 100 files per upload | Upload the shoot in batches of 100 or fewer. |
| RAW format isn't supported | See Camera or RAW file not supported. |
| Upload limit reached | See Usage limits. |
| files were already in this project | Those files are identical to ones you uploaded before, so they were skipped. Nothing to fix. |
| photos hidden | Those photos may break our content policy and were hidden. Contact us if you think it's a mistake. |
Brackets didn't group
If bracketed shots appear under Unbracketed exposures, group them by hand. See Brackets and iPhone photos. Shots exported without camera details (capture time) can't be grouped automatically.
A RAW file isn't on the Photos tab
That's expected. RAW files are used for HDR merging and only appear on the HDR-Brackets tab. Merge them, then edit the result.
Dropbox import problems
See Import from Dropbox.
